Drop deep into a somatic experience and reconnect with your life force. Part theory before we work through an embodied asana practice to release stored tension in this deepest muscle of the human body. Our fast paced modern lifestyle (which runs on the adrenaline of our sympathetic nervous system) chronically triggers and tightens the psoas – making it literally ready to run or fight. The psoas helps you to spring into action – or curl you up into a protective ball.... The psoas is far more than a core stabilising muscle; it is an organ of perception composed of bio-intelligent tissue and “literally embodies our deepest urge for survival, and more profoundly, our elemental desire to flourish.”
Just like a party we lubricate and juice up the tissues, ease into movements that help the surrounding musculature to 'get along' a little better, and let loose... just a little, not too much, so we wake up feeling awesome, not smashed like if we party to hard!
It's back again to help keep you motivated through winter. The famous July challenge to get on your mat daily and the joy of popping your sticker up on the chart is back for 2018! If you are already on a membership, just register your interest and you're in. If you've just brought a pass, you can sign up for the month of July for $99 and do as many classes as you like, then your pass will kick back in the month after. We have an amazing prize pack up for grabs and well you'll feel damn good anyways!
