STRONG A steady paced practice that builds heat in the body, burning away distracting thoughts, building stability and confidence both on and off the mat. CENTERED/YIN The perfect Yin to Strong's Yang, a mostly floor based practice and longer holds in poses to work on the connective tissue and meridian lines of the body. Regulating energy flow, lubricating joints and increasing mobility this practice calms the nervous system and helps balance the whole body mind system. A less physically challenging class, but often more challenging for the mind. Working with the breath for a nourishing meditative experience. This practice will leave you feeling renewed, grounded and calm.
ALIGNED Learn how to refine your asana and focus the mind with a deeper inquiry into your practice. Uncover new depths of understanding, stability and control. Clear alignment cues and a fresh approach to traditional poses, will help you to unravel the mysteries of the body and assist you move with more consciousness in STRONG and flow based classes. Learn how to safely approach inversions and how to use props to assist yourself in any practice.
HATHA/ALIGNED This class is deeply grounded and accessible to all levels and physical capabilities, including pregnant woman; with the use of blocks, straps, bolsters and other equipment when necessary, to assist the student with safety and alignment as taught by B.K.S. Iyengar. This practice focuses on the asana rather than movement, and stillness is gained through focusing on, and holding poses. Also similar to TRM Aligned classes.
VINYASA FLOW Get creative, contemporary and dynamic with vinyasa flow. A practice built around the sun salutations, asana are linked together in a flow sequence, creating a powerful class that aligns breath with movement. As we move through the practice, we find an internal focus of being with each breath, posture, and transition - making the practice itself a moving meditation.
